The "I Hate Everything' Project"

I am a manager at a movie theater. We are currently in our slow season, so we can only schedule a few staff hours per day. Due to this, I am currently cleaning auditoriums for the next shows. Upon walking into a theater I saw two kids carrying their garbage to the trash, their mother said “No, no, they pay people to do that”. The kids put down their garbage, walked out of the theater, and probably have since learned other valuable life lessons from their mother I.e. how many rufies to put in a drink, how severely you can beat your spouse without killing her, how to be racist; the list goes on.

I hate everything

Overheard two girls before my Critical Reasoning class arguing about whether or not Kim Kardashian was a “good person”…

I don’t really have anything else to say about that.

Whilst at work I am asked by a man if I have Hot Tamales available for purchase.  I tell him that we do not and that I am sorry (although I’m not sorry, he can go fly a kite) to which he responds, “That’s Un-American”…

I overheard two women talking about the Sherlock Holmes movie:

• Girl 1: “Oh, a new Sherlock Holmes movie, do you know what that’s about?”
• Girl 2: “I don’t remember… we had to read the book in one of my classes.”
• Girl 1: “Oh, this is the second movie, right? How many books are there?”
• Girl 2: very confidently “I’m pretty sure four.”

I am embarking on a project to record real encounters with fellow humans that solidify my constant hated for everything.
